Biography

Michael Woods, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral researcher investigating the thermophysical properties and chemical structure and speciation of molten salts as they pertain to nuclear reactor and fuel reprocessing applications. His background and expertise include the study of liquid metal electrodes for fission product recovery, characterization of molten salts and solid materials via electrochemistry and optical spectroscopy, and high-pressure low-temperature high-magnetism sample preparation for condensed matter physics experiments
