Biography

Jeffrey C. Joe is a Distinguished Research Scientist in Idaho National Laboratory’s Human Factors and Reliability Department. His research skills and expertise are in the areas of human factors research and development, human factors engineering (HFE), human performance improvement, human reliability analysis (HRA), safety culture, organizational development, public energy policy, social, and industrial/organizational psychology. He holds a master’s in social psychology from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s in psychology from University of Colorado at Boulder. Since starting at INL in 2000, he has gained extensive business development and project management experience managing U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) projects, and work for others (WFO) and strategic partnership program (SPP) projects for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and commercial utilities such as Duke Energy, Exelon, and Constellation.
