Dr. Harry W. Rollins is a principal scientist in Idaho National Laboratory’s Biological and Chemical Processing Department. His areas of research include synthesis and characterization of novel phosphorous-nitrogen compounds as advanced electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries; preparation and characterization of nanoscale catalysts for the production of synthetic fuels; preparation of nano-materials using supercritical fluid technology and nano-materials characterization; spectroscopic studies of supercritical fluid systems; and photo-physical and spectroscopic studies of fullerene materials. He holds a doctorate in analytical chemistry from Clemson University, which is also where he received his bachelor’s degree.
