Biography

Dr. Debtanu Maiti is a research scientist in Idaho National Laboratory's Catalysis and Transient Kinetics Group. His focus is on temporal analysis of products (TAP), dynamic catalysis and ab-initio investigation of structure-function properties of heterogeneous catalysts. He is currently working on complex mixed metal oxide systems and metal-supported interfaces toward harnessing their electronic properties for energy efficient thermochemical reactions.

He holds a doctorate in chemical engineering from University of South Florida, a master's in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore and a bachelor's in chemical engineering from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India. He came to INL in October 2021 as a postdoctoral researcher and became a full-time employee in April 2022.
