Abstract

Power plants use transformers for supplying generated electricity to the grid. As these transformers age and degrade, they produce specific gases. These gases can be monitored and used to predict when maintenance should be completed. This code uses four complementary techniques to predict when maintenance should be performed based on gas concentrations within the transformer.
