The parameters sensibility analysis of mining-induced fracture network reconstructed on the fractal characteristics

Abstract

Based on the reconstruction technology of discrete fracture network and the reconstruction platform of RJNS3D, the sensibility of the reconstruction parameters for fracture network was discussed. The results show that the reconstruction times have a slight influence on fractal dimension, which can be neglected; the fracture type and volumetric density have a certain sensitivity effect on the fractal dimension, the fractal dimension decreases with the increase of the fracture axial ratio, while it increases with the increase of fracture density; the attitude of the measuring window has a certain sensitivity effect on the fractal dimension as well, the fractal dimension increases with the increase of the angle between measuring window and the average fracture attitude; the fractal dimensions differ under different measuring window sizes, the volumetric fractal dimension obviously increase with the increase of the core box size.
