The Application of a Triple Bubbler System in Molten Salt for Accurate Mass and Volume Determination

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

Ongoing testing of the triple bubbler system has been applied to molten salt systems. The instrumentation was developed at Idaho National Laboratory for continuous monitoring of special nuclear materials in molten salt; and the instrument utilizes three dip tubes for determining the mass and volume of a liquid in a vessel. This paper will discuss the important design criteria of the bubbler probe for molten salt systems; and will describe lessons learned from using the system in a molten salt environment.
