note = "Funding Information: This research was funded by DOE-NE under the ART program. Funding Information: ORNL recently developed a new simulation framework, Transient Simulation Framework of Reconfigurable Models (TRANSFORM), in Modelica. This work was funded by DOE-NE under the Advanced Reactor Technologies (ART) program [4]. TRANSFORM offers significant flexibility for conducting trade and control studies for fully coupled end-to-end nuclear systems. The inherent support of functional mockup interfaces (FMIs) by Modelica allows cross-platform execution of complex system models. The package library supports only the advanced reactors, such as the Advanced Liquid Metal Reactor (ALMR) and the Small Modular Advanced High-Temperature Reactor (SmAHTR). Work is ongoing to add a High-Temperature Gas Reactor (HTGR) to the package. TRANSFORM is specifically intended to perform non-safety-related transients such as anticipated operational occurrences (AOOs). Safety analyses are currently outside the scope of the toolset but can be included in the future. Further information on capabilities can be found in Ref. 4.; 2015 Transactions of the American Nuclear Society, ANS 2015 ; Conference date: 08-11-2015 Through 12-11-2015",
