Abstract

ROUNDS is a technology that enables the autonomous navigation of commercial drones indoors, using QR codes as visual references. The software allows a drone to fly through a preconfigured route, capture video, send the data back to a server for processing, and return to its charging nest. This technology can be used for security rounds, monitoring, inspections, surveys, and monitoring in any indoor industry. ROUNDS is a novel solution that solves the problem of unreliable navigation in indoor environments without GPS availability and has the potential to be deployed on any drone to automate these tasks.
