Abstract
NEI 21-07 provides guidance for SAR documentation of a non-LWR affirmative safety case based on the LMP methodology which was documented in NEI 18-04. The guidance is a key element of the establishment of a technology inclusive, RIPB licensing framework for advanced reactors. TICAP interacted extensively with the NRC and resolved most issues related to the guidance, but the parties are not fully aligned on some facets, including DID and LBE documentation. Dialog on those issues is expected to continue as the NRC evaluates NEI 21-07 Rev. 1 for endorsement and prepares the associated regulatory guide.
