Abstract

This article provides a detailed review of the irradiated properties database for niobium, tantalum, molybdenum, and tungsten refractory metals and their alloys. Where available, information on the irradiation-induced swelling and physical property changes is reported, in addition to the changes in mechanical properties as a function of irradiation temperature and dose. Information on new materials that exhibit promising irradiated properties, in addition to a new understanding of familiar radiation effect problems, is covered.
