Abstract

RACCOON is an innovative Moose-based application designed to engage undergraduate and first-year graduate students in reactor physics. This cutting-edge code can solve the multi-group Neutron Diffusion equation in both eigenvalue and fixed-source forms, with a provision for simple thermal feedback coming soon. While RACCOON does not contain advanced capabilities found in YAK, it is the ultimate tool for introducing students to the fundamentals of reactor physics in a user-friendly and accessible way. These capabilities are sufficient to solve example problems found in Duderstadt & Hamilton, the standard textbook for senior-level reactor physics classes. This software is under copyright.
