Abstract
PowDDeR is a software application that measures the resilience of a power system. It captures the capabilities of the system to respond to disturbances, including natural or human-caused ones. The software allows for inputting and aggregating the reactive and real power capabilities of assets in a power system. It also allows for grouping assets as Economic Units (EcU) to show the capabilities of the system in subsystems. The software considers factors like latencies and transfer functions in the response of assets or control systems. It includes a data entry screen for creating asset types and EcUs, and allows for dragging and dropping assets into EcUs. The tool visualizes the capabilities as a three-dimensional manifold and provides options for customization. It also enables "what if" scenarios to simulate cyber-physical attacks or damage to the system. The tool can import configurations from the SG Communication and Analysis Tool for additional asset descriptions and network delays.
