Abstract

This script enables two-factor authentication for downloading NCRC controlled codes through the "Conda" package manager. It utilizes existing RSA-controlled logins like "hpclogin" to provide two-factor authentication when accessing export controlled applications. With this solution, authenticated users can deploy external codes without the need for physical disks or tarballs, reducing the risk of unauthorized copying. It can also be used to deploy updates to remotely installed applications based on Conda, making it easier to provide authorized users with code updates. By applying existing two-factor authentication mechanisms to the Conda distribution system, this solution ensures compliance with DOE authentication requirements for releasing export controlled codes.
