Multi-dimensional automatic mesh refinement for the multigroup SPN equations

Abstract

We propose and test a fully automated mesh-refinement strategy for the multigroup SPN equations. This method uses a standard mesh-adaptation technique per energy group and per even angular moment in order to follow the physics as closely as possible while minimizing the CPU and memory requirements.
