Abstract

An investigation is carried out on possible decoupling effects on CFV reactor type with heterogeneous blanket regions like that present in the ASTRID reactor. A code based on Avery's coupled reactor theory was used to study the impact of different subdivisions of an ASTRID benchmark in several zones (reactors) for a transient of a rod ejection. Coupling coefficients are computed using a new developed version of the SERPENT code.
