Abstract
Switchgrass is a biomass crop that can grow on marginal land throughout the Midwest and can be used to produce bioenergy. However, the chemical variability of switchgrass causes several issues for the conversion process. Using X-ray fluorescence, this project analyzes inorganic variability in response to several factors, including location, harvest year, cultivar, and nitrogen fertilizer rate.
