Abstract

A stove (100) includes a combustion chamber (126) for producing heat, a thermoelectric device (122) thermally coupled to a hot source (114) and a cold source (116), a battery, a fan (118) electrically connected to the thermoelectric device (122) and the battery, and a controller configured to monitor the battery and thermoelectric device (122) and configured to direct the fan (118) be operated from power provided from the battery when power produced from the thermoelectric device (122) is insufficient to power the fan (118). The stove (100) can have an associated heating plate (106), and the walls of the combustion chamber (126) can be configured to reflect heat onto the heating plate (106).
