Abstract
This chapter shows a brief overview about the principles and the main CC coupling reactions adapted in aqueous medium. It explains the different types of coupling reactions that can be developed in water, depicted with the latest investigations in the field. The variables that affect the efficiency of the CC coupling reactions in water, like catalysts, supports, reagents, and acidity of the medium, are also shown. Specific conditions for aqueous adaptations are reviewed for Mizoroki-Heck, Hiyama’s, Suzuki-Miyaura, Sonogashira-Hagihara, Stille’s, and Negishi's reactions.
