Abstract

The Safety Instrumented System (SIS) for Extreme Fast Charging (XFC) Infrastructure is a pioneering software designed to enhance the safety and cybersecurity of XFC systems. By integrating data from multiple sources, it monitors, analyzes, and ensures the operational integrity of XFC units. This innovative prototype demonstrates the critical need for such systems within the industry, aiming to foster the development of cyber-resilient and safe XFC infrastructures. Targeted at XFC manufacturers, it sets a new standard in safeguarding against cyber threats and physical hazards, promoting a secure EV charging ecosystem.
