Abstract

To improve the accuracy on the nuclear data, the uncertainties should be kept as low as possible. The major portion of these uncertainties comes from the input data and the assumptions made in the simulation models. For a high profile project like MANTRA, the pre and post irradiation analysis is very important. The current paper discusses the pre and post irradiation analysis of MANTRA-3 that could affect the end results using MCNP5 (a stochastic code) and ECCO-ERANOS (a deterministic code). This analysis was very helpful for understanding the possible uncertainties in MANTRA-3 and for calculating the final results.
