Abstract
Various events in the 3rd biennial International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC) held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on May 9-13, 2004 are discussed. IYNC 2004 is cohosted by the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NA-YGN) and the Canadian Nuclear Society, in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Various challenges provided opportunities for innovation, and many novel techniques have arisen to develop and retain a nuclear option for present and future generation. The major goal of IYNC 2004 is to highlight the innovative developments worldwide in the nuclear industry including those related to advanced power reactor designs.
