Abstract

Different from the AC,the electric field distribution of the gas-solid insulation system under DC voltage depends on the conductivity of the insulation. When the electric field of the insulation system is converted from the capacitive to the resistive,the charges that accumulate on the insulator surface change the original electric field,which leads to the decrease of the flashover characteristics along the surface,and restricts the engineering application of DC GIS. At present,the simulation and experimental research on the electric field of DC GIS insulation system has become a hot topic in the world,this paper reviews this systematically,including the mathematical model of GIS DC electric field,the electrical characteristics of different mediums,the surface charge measurement method of GIS insulator,surface charge measurement system,etc. Finally,some suggestions are given for the simulation and experimental research on DC GIS.
