Biography

Dr. Yingqian Lin joined Bioenergy Technology department at INL as a postdoctoral researcher. Her work at INL focused on logistics optimization, life cycle analysis (LCA) and land suitability analysis in bioenergy production systems. She received her Ph.D. degree in Biosystems Engineering from Michigan State University. Her dissertation research focused on modeling and minimizing the cost and environmental impacts in woody biomass supply chain in Michigan. From her research, she gained extensive knowledge about of the renewable energy industry, engineering economics, scenario modeling, energy system modeling, mixed integer linear programming, multi-objective optimization, and uncertainty quantification in decision-making. She has a strong passion in improving the environmental sustainability and developing decision support tools for agricultural/bioenergy crops production systems.
