Biography

Warren Jones, P.E., is a Thermal/Hydraulics Analyst in the Experiment Design and Analysis Department at Idaho National Laboratory. In this capacity he develops thermal and hydraulic analyses to support the safety requirements of experiments destined for the Advanced Test Reactor and other test reactors worldwide. He is currently supporting various projects including National Scientific User Facility (NSUF).

Mr. Jones has extensive experience in thermal and hydraulic analysis, computational fluid dynamics, multi-physics and hydrocode analysis, structural analysis, engineering design, experiment design, and data acquisition and analysis. He holds a B.S. in Engineering Science from Idaho State University with a Mechanical and Thermal/Hydraulic emphasis and an M.S.A.A. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Idaho. He has many years of experience working with engineering computer codes and programming languages including C++ and is a licensed Professional Engineer for the State of Idaho in Mechanical Engineering. Outside of work he enjoys hiking, golf, and spending time with his family.
