Timothy Yoder is a materials research engineer with 30 years of experience at the Idaho National Laboratory. He holds a bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University. He is a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, holding Senior Corrosion Technologist certification since 2008.  He maintains a TS/SCI security clearance for work with National and Homeland Security Programs.

He is involved with accelerated corrosion/mechanical testing of materials using slow-strain rate testing (SSRT) and creep-fatigue load frames, salt fog corrosion chambers, ultra-violet light chamber, environmental chambers, and electro-chemical testing equipment.  He has over 20 years of experience conducting ASTM laboratory materials testing, including immersion, crevice, U-bend, environmental chamber, electrochemical, and slow-strain rate testing methods.   He supports post-test analyses with optical/SEM microscope capabilities.  ​
