Dr. Stephanie Bruffey is a Senior Technical Advisor within the Fuel Cycle Science and Technology Division at Idaho National Laboratory. Dr. Bruffey also serves as National Technical Director for the Uranium Fuel Supply Campaign within the DOE Office of Nuclear Energy. The Uranium Fuel Supply Campaign, under Dr. Bruffey’s leadership, conducts HALEU recovery and down-blending at national laboratories, provides technical support to the USDOE HALEU Allocation Process, and ensures that HALEU supply efforts conducted by the national laboratory complex are aligned with industry needs. Prior to joining INL, Dr. Bruffey spent 3 years in the private nuclear industry and 12 years at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, with emphases on TRISO fuel production, advanced nuclear fuel recycle technology, and radioactive off-gas management.
