Dr. Ram Kumar is a computational scientist and geochemist in the Geothermal Energy & Subsurface Systems group at Idaho National Laboratory, USA. With over 10 years of experience in thermal-hydrological-mechanical-chemical (THMC) modeling, his expertise extends to reservoir thermal energy storage (RTES), enhanced geothermal systems (EGS), geological carbon sequestration (GCS), lithium in geothermal brine, geologic hydrogen production, and the assessment of critical and rare earth elements (REEs) in host rocks. Dr. Kumar received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL and spent over three years as a postdoctoral researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he worked on coupling geochemical processes with flow in porous media.
