    Biography

    Peter Suyderhoud is the Model-Based Design Group Lead in the Digital Engineering Department at Idaho National Laboratory. In his role, he focuses on the application of systems engineering principles coupled with data-driven design tools within advanced energy. Before joining INL, Suyderhoud was a systems engineer for Bechtel's Nuclear, in the Security & Environmental business group, where he performed project-level functional analysis and system architecture for multiple large-scale U.S. Department of Energy nuclear energy & environmental projects, including a landmark nuclear waste processing plant in Hanford, WA. Prior to that, he worked for a United States Navy contractor supporting the Virginia Class submarine program. He holds a bachelor's in systems science and engineering with a minor in economics and a computer science concentration from Washington University in St. Louis.
