Dr. Ange-Lionel Toba is a research engineer in System Dynamics and Modeling Group, within the Systems Science and Engineering Department, at Idaho National Laboratory. His research focuses on using Modeling and Simulation, and Data Science to address various challenges in the Energy sector. Funded by the Water-Power Technologies Office, his project investigates (1) the impacts of interdependency between water and power systems, not only on normal operations but also during disruptions and (2) ways to leverage these interdependencies to improve integrated water and power systems resilience. He also participates in developing advanced modeling capabilities suggesting pathways to produce biomass feedstock while taking into account economic and environmental concerns. Dr. Toba earned his PhD in engineering management and system engineering from Old Dominion University, a MS. in industrial & system engineering from Colorado State University-Pueblo and a BS in electrical engineering from Morocco’s University Cadi Ayyad Marrakech.
