Julia Morgan graduated with her Ph.D. in Systems Engineering. She started at INL as a Postdoc in Model Based Systems Engineering in the Digital Engineering Department in January 2022. Julia's research background is in decentralized renewable energy systems and their impacts on low-income communities. This includes research on energy sharing communities, agent-based modeling, and two-stage robust optimization. Amplifying positive impacts on traditionally marginalized communities is a particular area of interest. Most recently, Julia is leading a net-zero supported project collaborated with Digital Engineering that provides visualization of INL's progress toward the net-zero initiative.
