Imtiaz Nasim is a research scientist at Idaho National Laboratory (INL), where he applies his expertise to improve the energy security of mission-critical applications, enhance the reliability of wireless solutions with a focus on nuclear applications, and optimize secure and efficient wireless networks for emerging applications. Additionally, he works on machine learning algorithms and more. He collaborates with a team of researchers possessing diverse and unique skills, collectively striving to achieve secure and reliable wireless communications to meet industry demands.

With over 7 years of research experience in wireless networks, Imtiaz Nasim is an expert in advanced wireless systems, millimeter-wave communications, vehicular communications, Open RAN optimization, AI/ML techniques, and programming languages such as MATLAB and Python. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Florida International University (FIU), USA, in 2023, his MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Southern University, USA, in 2019, and his Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh, in 2015.

Before joining INL, Imtiaz Nasim was a research assistant at FIU. He has received several accolades, including being the runner-up at the INL Research Slam competition and serving as the Principal Investigator of Laboratory Directed Research Development (LDRD) projects with funding of $150,000. 

Imtiaz Nasim holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from FIU. He has published more than 15 scientific publications as the lead author in high impact IEEE venues.
