Biography
Dr. Ilyas Yilgor is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Idaho National Laboratory (INL), specializing in heat pipes, nuclear thermal hydraulics, advanced reactor systems, and integrated energy systems. Dr. Yilgor has made significant contributions to the field through his extensive research, authoring numerous high-impact journal articles and technical reports. His work at INL includes conducting high-temperature heat pipe experiments, enhancing heat pipe modeling capabilities, and developing integral and separate effect tests for advanced reactor demonstrations. His prior work includes design and construction of small to medium scale experimental test facilities and the development of fluid-to-fluid scaling laws for high-temperature heat pipes. Dr. Yilgor's work has consistently focused on improving thermal management systems and heat exchange processes, contributing to both academic and practical advancements in the field.
