Biography
Mr. Gregory Galbreth is currently a research scientist at Idaho National Laboratory since 2010. With over 26 years of engineering experience including civil engineering, laboratory, and metallurgical processing, Mr. Galbreth is effective in product development, process improvement, research, and project management. Mr. Galbreth is goal-driven with broad experience in fast-paced, high-tech environments requiring expertise in troubleshooting, quality control, experimental design, product deployment, and leading technical staff. Mr. Galbreth possesses expertise in material accounting and sampling in copper, gold, platinum/palladium industries as well as special nuclear material facilities.
Staff Sargent (SSG) Galbreth served in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Transportation supervisor stationed in Al Taqqadum, Iraq for one year (In Army for 13 years of service). He supervised a team in cargo documentation and movement of cargo in airfield and convoy operations (Shipped 3500 tons by air and 120,000 tons by ground in one year). He trained soldiers in combative techniques such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In addition, SSG Galbreth led convoys with 20 vehicles and as many as 75 personnel.
At Idaho National Laboratories (INL), Mr. Galbreth has been a PI in the Fuel Conditioning Facility (FCF) for the Mark IV electrorefiner. He has conducted training for the facility operators and provides operational guidance. Mr. Galbreth is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Mass Tracking System (MTG) for the FCF.
Since 2013, Mr. Galbreth has been the principle researcher (PR) and is the SME for the triple bubbler.
Galbreth holds a B.S. in metallurgical engineering from Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology and a MBA from the University of Montana. Galbreth previously worked in Gold and Platinum mines as a process engineer. He also worked for a Civil Engineering firm modeling nitrates for wastewater. Outside of work he enjoys hunting and dirt bike riding.
