Grant Hawkes is a thermal hydraulics (TH) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analyst in the Irradiation Experiments Thermal Hydraulics Analysis Department at Idaho National Laboratory. In this capacity, he works on projects under the Advanced Reactor Technologies (ART) area including high temperature electrolysis and modeling ART fueled experiments, along with US High Performance Research Reactor (USHPRR) fueled experiments.
Hawkes has over 34 years of experience with INL with expertise in thermal hydraulics and computational fluid dynamics and modeling thermal analysis of ATR experiments. He holds an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University and is trained in the FLUENT and ABAQUS computer codes. Outside of work he enjoys farming, snowmobiling and camping.
