Biography

Giang Huynh is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Computational Mechanics and Materials, where he contributes to the development of advanced fracture models. The developed models are designed with the capability to integrate surrogate data-driven approaches, enhancing both computational efficiency and robustness.

His research centers on  nonlinear continuum mechanics  and variational methods for solids and shells, constitutive modeling of fracture and plasticity, multi-physics coupling, and moving interface problems. He also specializes in numerical methods such as finite element analysis, discontinuous Galerkin methods, and isogeometric analysis. His work has been published in leading journals in computational mechanics, including Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids, Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, and Journal of Computational Physics.
