Ethan is a Staff and Instrument Scientist in the Thermophysical Properties Characterization Department at Idaho National Laboratory's Materials and Fuels Complex in the Nuclear Materials Performance Division. He works as a principal investigator and hands-on researcher characterizing thermophysical properties of nuclear materials post-irradiation at the Irradiated Material Characterization Laboratory. He is the group lead for the Thermophysical Properties Data Analysis and Method Development Group with a focus on using coding to automate data collection and analysis and implementing new characterization techniques. 

With 3.5 years of experience in nuclear materials science, Ethan possesses expertise in microscale thermal conductivity characterization using thermoreflectance, as well as bulk thermophysical property characterization and interpretation with correlative microscopy. He has expertise in planning and coordinating post-irradiation examination of nuclear materials and communicating with customers from the planning through to the data reporting steps. Ethan holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
