Dr. Dewen Yushu is a copmutational scientist in the Computational Mechanics and Materials Department at INL. She received her Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from University of Notre Dame in 2020 where she developed an image-based multiscale multigrid framework for heterogeneous systems.
After joining INL, she works on developing novel preconditioners for improving mechanical contact robustness in MOOSE and BISON. She is an active developer for the integrated simulation tool for additive manufacturing, Valhalla. She is also one of the main contributors to Isopod, a MOOSE-based inverse optimization tool. Her research interests lie in computational mechanics, numerical methods, and machine learning techniques.
Bachelor, Material Processing and Control Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST)
