Biography

David Kamerman is a nuclear fuel research and development engineer in the Nuclear Fuel Design and Development Department at Idaho National Laboratory (INL). His primary research interests are in the performance of light water reactor (LWR) fuels including accident tolerant fuels at high burn ups and in extreme (accident) environments. His work at INL includes guiding and directing irradiation testing and post-irradiation examination campaigns. He is responsible for the development of long-term test plans leading to the development and qualification of new fuels. David joined INL in January 2018. Prior to that David worked for the U.S. Department of Energy where he oversaw a variety of nuclear fuel related research efforts at the Idaho DOE site and with the nuclear industry. David holds a B.S. and M.S. in nuclear engineering from Idaho State University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering at the University of Idaho.​
