Changhu (Tiger) Xing is a thermal hydraulic analyst in the Irradiation Experiment Thermal Hydraulics Analysis department. In this role, he participated in the analyses of experimental designs using the computational fluid dynamic software, Star-CCM+ and finite element analysis code, Abaqus. He also works on the fluid structure interaction coupled analyses by integrating the two tools.
Prior to joining Idaho National Laboratory, he worked on harvesting combine and cotton-picking machines through CFD and discrete element modeling simulation for engine cooling performance and particle conveyance analyses in John Deere. He was an experimentalist in the multiscale themophysics lab as a research associate in Utah State University.
