Chandu Bolisetti is a senior scientist at Idaho National Laboratory. His research primarily is aimed toward identifying the cost drivers of nuclear and developing methods and technologies to drive down these costs, especially in construction. His expertise includes capital cost economics, structural/seismic design and construction, and quality assurance of nuclear facilities. He has also worked in the areas of probabilistic risk assessment and advanced modeling and simulation of critical infrastructure subjected to earthquake hazards. Dr. Bolisetti joined INL as a postdoctoral associate in 2014 after receiving a Ph.D. in structural and earthquake engineering from University at Buffalo, SUNY, in 2014. Nuclear is his passion and massively scaling the amount of safe nuclear generation across the world is his dream.
