Biography
Bruce Hallbert, Ph.D., leads the Department of Energy-sponsored Light Water Reactor Sustainability Program. This multi-laboratory, multi-disciplinary program conducts collaborative research with commercial nuclear power industry stakeholders to sustain U.S. nuclear power generation assets.
Previously, Bruce led several programs for the Department of Energy in the areas of advanced sensors, instrumentation, controls and human machine interface technologies for nuclear energy systems. He also drove safety and probabilistic risk assessment programs for a variety of federal and private national and international organizations.
