Biography

Bri​o​n Bennett is a recognized scientist/engineer in Idaho National Laboratory’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. He has been awarded a US patent for a custom radiation shield for a nuclear accelerator and a past RD&D 100 award. He has been involved in the national EV Project, which entails the collection of charging and driving data from thousands of EV project participants across the country. Data is stored in laboratory databases that require constant validation and verification to ensure reliable information is reported in publicly available reports. He is also involved in formulation of national codes and standards for design and implementation of conductive and wireless electric fueling stations. He received his bachelor’s in general engineering from Idaho State University and served in the U.S. Navy from 1989 to 1995, and was stationed on-board the USS Nimitz a nuclear powered aircraft carrier.
