Biography

Dr. Arin S. Preston is an advanced manufacturing postdoctoral research associate at Idaho National Laboratory conducting research in nanotechnology. His areas of expertise include engineering and nanofabrication of metallic and oxide-clad nanostructures, material characterization techniques including powder and single crystal x-ray diffraction, and 3D CAD drawing, design, and analysis. He earned his doctorate and master’s in mechanical engineering from University of Notre Dame and his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Eastern Washington University. He was the 2020 recipient of Notre Dame’s LTC Neil Hyland Fellowship.​
